I think I've only seen Mark presenting News at Ten since Trevor left, but the only other male presenter I've ever seen front the programme is James Mates. I don't think Alastair Stewart ever has (though he did present the News at 2230 a few times) and certainly neither Steve Scott nor Geraint Vincent have presented it. I can't think of any more male presenters at ITV News.

Who has been the regular replacement male for News at Ten since Mark took over?

That is it. Thank you for finding it. My writing backed up by evidence.

For those who want a little bit of TV's past to return, can those nay- sayers stop calling it "rose tinted spectacles".
I looked at a particular interview a broadsheet newspaper had had with John Suchet last year and John remarked that the ITV News brand is destroying ITN's legacy. There was a bit more to it.
Unfortunately, I cannot find the article but I will keep looking. I did notice it was on the internet the last time I looked at it last month.
Referring to John Suchet, sad news about dementia relating to he and his wife. John said on TV: "I want no sympathy......" but it is hard not to feel sorry for him being visibly upset and his voice breaking with emotion.

I loved it when Mary said she will be back with James Mates with Geraint sat next to her!
Erm, Mark regularly says he'll be back with Julie Etchingham when he's sat next to Mary..
Is it really necessary for comments like that? (Don't answer!)

Any credibility News at Ten has would go down the pan if Geraint presented it.

Yeah, but I don't have a problem with Mary. She is in a much higher league than Geraint will ever be

Indeed! In fact the only person ever to appear on News at Ten who was NEVER wooden - not even for a milisecond - was the one and only Reginald Bosanquet. Rather than being wooden, he was more like rubber.

To be fair to Geraint, he's still relatively inexperienced at presenting. Look back in the archives and I'm sure you'll find that Mary Nightingale was wooden when she started.
