Personally I think the weekend news will follow the normal ITV News set up, just with different backgrounds.
I don't know which background they will use though - sometimes they broadcast between 4.30 and 5.15, therefore the light is not dark, but at the same time is not light.
I can't see the weekend news using the LN backdrop, but the late news will most probally follow the News at Ten backdrop.

The Late News aired at 11:20 last night, after the football - ITV News branding and music, but the NaT skyline. Incidentally the larger glass screens looked much better against the darker backdrop than on the other bulletins (to me anyway). Oddly enough, on the trailer during the break before it started, they played one of the NaT beds despite the ITV News logo appearing on screen.
The way the summaries open and close remind me of the way they looked in the mid-1990s - a simple studio shot at the start and finish.

Probably - more often than not now the opening has just been a short version of the titles, either with no headlines at all or as is the norm now, without the main body of the titles. Without the rest of the titles though, it would be a bit unnecessary to have the clockface at the beginning, so just using studio shots is a real possibility, and as said, something that was common in the 90's.

I can see the main Weekend News programmes in the evenings using the News Summary introduction/close.

So does anybody have the ITV News summary on video for me to view please??

As I said on Monday, only 4 versions of the London skyline exist - one for the Lunchtime News, two for the Evening News (one lighter, one darker) and News at Ten. The weekend bulletins will just use whichever is appropriate for that time of day - LTN skyline for the lunchtime summary, EN for the early evening news and NaT for the late bulletin.

I'm assuming the current EN bulletin is the darker one. Does this mean that News at Ten/5.30am bulletin will take on the EN darker one during the summer months, or will they continue to use the current one?
You're obviously more in the know than I am, but perhaps we'll see the alternative EN backdrop from 29th March (the day after the clocks go forward)

So far on the EN tonight, it looks as if they have reverted to the double presenter camera for parts of the programme, instead of the individual shots we have seen over the past few nights.
The only time they have used the single shot, is when using the glass screen and the opening and breaks.

Sorry, Tom, I don't know any more than what I've posted. I'm guessing that the current EN skyline is the darker of the two, but I don't know what intentions the crew have regarding NaT and Morning News during the summer months.
