For pity's sake, just ban him!

This is the second time I've asked for posts to be reported using the RTP feature. There is a risk you're coming across as a self-appointed moderator, particularly if you're going to jump on members for asking pretty innocuous questions. Rather than just letting it go, posting simply derails the thread.

Your point is well taken. If anything, it's the "GMB format" thread where the report feature could most-fairly have been deployed.

I shall attempt to pick my battles more-carefully next time.

How about not 'picking battles' at all, and just ignoring posts you're not interested in, instead of trying to instigate the banning of other users because you are personally uninterested in their posts?
Mammal extraordinaire.

I can assure you I'm entirely uninterested in the substance of what they have to say - but that's because of the style. I'll concede that in thsi particular case - maybe this was the wrong thread in which to do it, but this constant starting of new threads to ask questions that could be answered with the tiniest bit of research, straying into the realms of fantasy rotas and repeating of old information on account of not bothering to read others' posts just isn't in the spirit of the mods' own rules. They've disagreed with me on this occasion, and I respect that and doff my cap to them.
I sometimes speak ABOUT my employer, although not FOR them.
