They've changed the DOG on that video feed at last then!

The BBC 6pm News also used a Breaking News strap at the end of their bulletin (exactly the same as the headlines) - ITV's looked far better.

I guess if the News Channel had survived we'd be seeing it animate in a way similar to the last one.

I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, but now that the News Channel is no longer on-air, they might want to do a sort of bulletin, that rounds-up the main stories of the week Confused For the benefit of those who have missed a bulletin or two, for some reason or another. Wink

We've got Scotland This Week, which used to be an hour long and was broadcast in the small early hours of Sunday morning. Now it's only a fraction of what it used to be going out right after the final bulletin on a Sunday evening. Surprised

I think if the ITV News Channel was still here it would do better in the ratings because of its new look.
The reason I didn't really like it before was because of the graphics, and the depressing blue wall.

Who presents the Morning news nowadays? Are Rachel McTavish and Sian Jones still around?

Phil Gayle did it the last few days. Notable because he never did national ITV1 bulletins during his first stint at ITV News.

But this morning it was Nazzanine Moshiri

Who's that?

How long has the 11:55 summary been coming from here for? I've never noticed it before...

I don't think they've ever done the noon bulletin in the newsroom before.
And why was it Katie and not Nick again. He done the 11 o'clock news. Confused

And, is it me, or does the TV screen in the background (circled) have the Big Game TV logo?

First time I've seen it done from the newsroom.

There used to be a summary during this Morning at 11.30, which was presented from the newsroom by Katie, this was last year when the new look lunchtime news launched. The other two summary's continued at there normal time in a studio, although the first came from the virtual studio. The presenters sometimes alternate between summary's.

I have never understood why ITV News don't use the newsroom more often for short summaries. They did it in the nineties. They have the camera set-up in there, and it can obviously be done. Even for short weekend programmes, it would look a lot better coming from there. Surely it would make more sense that having to have the main studio up and running, esp. on a sunday night.

Katie looks tired in those caps above. First time I have seen her for ages. Does she still present the Lunchtime News AND London Today? (Tonight?)
