I notice on the screen grab that there are are two keyboards/mouse.

Why would this be needed now. Surley there was no dual headed programmes that day now the NC has closed....

Unless it has been left there since yesterday's bulletins.

Sport?

Sports presenters (if sport is not read by main anchor) use the newswall, not the desk.

It's hard to write your script on a newswall.

I very much doubt their script would be written at the studio desk.

'Tis a possibility though, for last minute results etc.

Alternatively there are 2 computers for one presenter, one with ENPS and one with TV Forum loaded.

Chris Rogers on general reporting duty today - wonder if we'll see other former News Channel faces back on the road.

Yes, certainly they'll be back on the road - on the road where their local Job Centre is sited, clutching their P-45's in their sticky mitts...

As mentioned by someone else, there are still two computers under the desk. So makes sense to leave access to both computers according to which one the presenter wishes to use - left handed presenters may prefer looking at a computer to their left etc.

And don't call me Shirley....

Strange that UTV have rebranded it the "Network News" - while they don't like referring to "ITV1", they have had no problems refering to the "ITV News" in the context of it being a programme name before. (They still like to refer to "the studios of ITN" though, which I don't think network ITV1 does).

I don't know if this has been mentioned but when will ITV News ( EPG 525) be removed from the Sky EPG? It has been there since it went off air with "programmes no longer available" headed.

Probably when the next EPG listings update takes place, maybe Tuesday morning.

Does anyone know what SMG broadcast? They usually refer to it as 'ITV News'.

My first instinct was it was a mistake and they meant to put "Nightly News"!

It seems that John Irvine takes his holiday in Thailand each year!

Last year he was caught up in the Tsunami and now it looks as if his holiday has been broken again to go and report on the backpacker death in Thailand.
