Did anybody else think the guy they interviewed on the subject of disruptive children in schools (he lost his job for alledgedly pushing a child) looked like Mark Austin? I think he did, and he was called Mark too. Maybe they're running out of people to interview in Britain so Mark dresses up now and again.. Rolling Eyes

When did ITV reintroduce the 6pm ident and anno? Shame it's a generic one, though.

I prefer it; more of a connection with some continuity at least.

As for this ITV News reshuffle; is it taking place gradually? As I am sure that I just tuned in to see John Irvine in Washington.

Lately they've been starting their 5pm programmes much earlier than previously - a couple of minutes before 5pm rather than a couple of minutes after. I guess they have a few seconds spare now at 6pm then!

This surprised me as I was watching ITV1 London at 6pm (for the first time, see ITV London News Thread) and I just assumed it was common practice in London to do this, but the announcement proved me wrong. Though I don't know if it got shown on ITV1 Granada, but everything seemd usual on the 6pm junction, ie Advert>Short Trailer>Regional News....Confused

I dn't know whether it was to do with this programme, but Paul O'Grady on ITV1 always used to start a couple of minutes before 5pm.

It was the first time I noticed it today on ITV1 Yorkshire. It was only a short ident though "Now on ITV1, the news from where you are"

Is it me, or did James Mates just mess up the News at 10.30 again?

Honestly, some of you are so quick to judge. I'd like to see you try out on the catwalk!

Perhaps today was the first day as they've screened Poriot in place of Paul O'Grady, it think its a bit shorter than the slot its in.
