And they still have the old ITV1 logo on that site too!

Ridiculous. Of course they know when they're on and off-air - they have earpieces and cues.
Hmm I wouldn't fall for the that, usually it's just for the camera.
Do you really think that two newsreaders would talk animatedly and laugh at nothing "for the camera"?? What's wrong with sharing a joke after the mics have been closed?

Half the time at the end we see Mark Austin walking off the studio anyway, so they can't know they are still on air.

At the end there was an extended closing sequence and you could see Katie burst in to laughter at something Mark had said.

Hmmm. What about the vans in the regions. I saw a Border Television van the other day, still with 'ITV Border News and Lookaround' with the blue and yellow squares. Have any of the other regions changed this yet?
I spotted Calendar's van last night on the BBC 10 O' Clock News. It appears to have rebranded with the new logo - just the corporate blue version on white with Calendar written in black underneath.

According to a picture on the Central News website they have a Mercedes Sprinter with the new branding.

Yes, because they know how they are supposed to end a bulletin. If there are two presenters, it would look odd if they glumly walked off in separate directions at the end. I'm not saying Katie and Mark aren't friends or anything, don't worry. But some of the time, yes, it is for the camera.

I noticed last night that as soon as Mark put his papers on his desk he walked off the set. Almost seeing him walk off the staged area where the desk is.
