Like most television operations, I wouldn't have thought ITN is open to the public. You simply can't have members of the public off the street wandering around a broadcast centre! Get a contact and you might get in for a tour.

ITN is in central London (Gray's Inn Road) and BBC London is in Marylebone.

My friend knows a senior member of staff at ITN and he gave me a tour of the building a few years ago, but that's the only way I believe you'll get a tour.

Suprised this hasn't been mentioned but Steve Scott is to co-present ITV West News with Lisa Aziz from Mondays to Thursdays and the Evening News on Fridays...

That's interesting - wonder if he'll still do the Evening News in the week if Mark's off then - and whether he'll be on hand for the Lunchtime News too.


Of course it's worth remembering a point made by David Mannion - ITV's regional news programmes all get far bigger ratings than the ITV News Channel could ever have hoped for!

Very interesting; ITV West are building a bit of a collection for themselves (Mark Owen, Lisa etc)! Any idea as to when he starts in the West?

Sorry for going slightly OT, but correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Steve Scott been a presenter on ITV/HTV West before? Like Lisa Aziz....?

You did not read the attached article did you. Yes Steve presented and reported for HTV West before he joined ITN in the 90s.

I guess this means he'll also stop doing the Weekend News - so it's likely it'll be a role shared by Andrea Catherwood and Nina Hossain.

The role will not be shared between Andrea and Nina, as the Weekend News in Andrea's role. I expect her to return in the next few weeks, as she only left about 6 weeks after Katie, and she was back 7 weeks ago. I imagine Nina will remain with the Sport and being the fill in for the Evening News. Nina works very hard, she has only had 3 days off in the past 3 weeks.

Don't forget she's also a presenter on London Tonight/Today as well

But she's only been doing the late sport Monday to Thursdays which surely involves only working a half day, she's hardly working down a mine
