Notice the studio look really good on last nights 10.30 and today's Lunchtime News, the walkway was a much better blue, but now has gone back to the more cyan colour, which looks terrible.

I did notice this. I kept looking and something really didn't seem right, and then clicked in that the walk way was blue again. It was indeed a nice blue, the only problem is that the set is now a cyan colour, and the blue just didn't go with it.

For me I think that it would be better if they just changed it to white and stuck it to white. The wall using the cyan is enough that we need.

I must admit on the pull out at the end of the bulletin the studio looks darker, especially as they don't have the lights behind the wall anymore.

I presume that the lights are gone as the wall is supposed to be a window now, and it wouldn't make sense?

Another little problem in the headlines at the start of tonight 10:30 news, it cut of too early and we saw a nice graphic instead of the regional headlines. There is always problems on ITV News, it hardly ever runs the way its planned

It might have only been a problem in this region, sometimes though every ITV region is affected when it happens

The graphic was brilliant - it was looking on big ben flat - and showed gold stripes moving around and flashing up and down. Looked like the Millenium dome abit Laughing

It once again affected Central West, perhaps it was a problem with Leeds. Here we had Philippa Tomson on duty, she began to speak, paused, waited, then started again only to be cut off mid sentance, and as said, we got the lovely holding animation, which I sort of agree look a bit like the millennium dome.

On an earlier note, did anyone notice the globe used at the beginning of the 3 degrees segment on the 1030 on Tuesday (I Believe). It looked lovely, with the edge lit up with the cyan colour. It's a shame that this couldn't have been included in the titles.

Perhaps they could have had the globe within the numeral ring of the face of the clock, with this turning around the globe.

The pull-out shot at the end of the programme looks darker because the lights on the walkway and around the desk are slowly dimmed as the credits roll, and it's quite a nice effect I think).

Lights behind the wall Confused: Confused: Confused: . I thought the CSO wall was front lit, and it's lighting isn't changed by the fact that they now have a different image displayed. The brighter the CSO area the sharper the overlaid image appears, since there is a greater contrast between it and the surrounding "real" elements of the picture.

The start of the 'close up' animation on the newswall looks great - should be used for the Coming up section.

I think they also put a dark filter over the end titles, which is transparent, but gives the illusion of a change in lighting level.

On an unrelated note, inoticed in an episode of The Bill last night, that the itv News Channel made a breif reappearance. The storyline currently relates to a missing girl, and the news channel was on in the background, screening an appeal for the girl. One intresting thing was that it was complete with gold slug, with blue name aston, with red ticker. Why didn't they just use itv's current appearance?

I think you're talking at cross purposes. I think fanoftv was referring to the blue lighting above the green wall that existed before the revamp. This has indeed gone since the revamp, presumably for the reasons he suggested. You are referring to the lighting for the CSO wall, which, I understand, is not front-lit but back-lit green.

Because it was probably filmed before the NC closed and way before ITV News unveiled its new look?
