I watched the evening news tonight, as I dont usually watch it, and felt really disappointed with it. I seen very little news content there with about 4 or less stories being covered followed by the entire second half being about the greenhouse effect

I'm a regular viewer and I was also surprised by the lack of factual content. They usually cover more stories than they did today, I think it was just because of the greenhouse thing.

The Briefing studio is the virtual reality studio. Mark handed over to Mary who was stood at the right of the newswall - she was stood at the end of the newswall and you could weirdly see the projection stop after the newswall structure stopped. Mary then walked diagnally to the briefing studio where Mary started talking about Climate Change.

IMO ITN got it just right tonight; I felt that all the "real" news was covered in the first 15/16 minutes of the bulletin, which it was (Charles, Mladic, Wembley), as well as a serious issue being addressed in thebottom half, and one which i think everybody needs to gain a serious knowledge of.

Are we certain about this? I presumed that the Briefing setting remained in Studio 2?

Time Warp im sure if you watched the bulletin online you would see that Mary did walk into the briefing studio

I did watch the bulletin; I know she walked over to the Briefing setting, I just do not believe that she walked into Studio 1...

Missed it - was the newsroom in shot as she walked over or did it cut to Mary by the newswall.

If so, I imagine it was all done in the "Briefing" room, with a fake, fake newswall!

Well is there anyway to see this bulletin again, I know somebody posted a thread about watching bulletins again, it was a secret, so it was shut down.

Yeah, just noticed on the 10.30 there (after a camera not being ready and James looking in the opposite direction from shot). Some old graphics were shown during the clip if anyone was interested.

Notice the studio look really good on last nights 10.30 and today's Lunchtime News, the walkway was a much better blue, but now has gone back to the more cyan colour, which looks terrible.

Apologies for posting this later, but I was watching a recorded programme on Sky+ today and noticed the dodgy opt-out. Scottish showed Beckham being interviewed and at the point of opt (with the swoosh sound) he was still talking but in silence. It then cut to an ITV News background and a very confused Shereen started her headline but got cut off mid-sentence.
