Maybe Nina is replacing Felicity. After all, while she always presents the EN on Fridays, at other times she is a mere fill in and there is already a surplus of presenters so they may as well use her. But then, she doesn't really have a background in sport, so maybe not.
I would love to see Nina as the main presenter at 10.30!
She's done it before and she was great.
Mark already has the 6.30 news, we don't need him for late news as well.

As much as i like Nina, i would prefer to see the bulletin given to Alistair. It is rightfully his. The transition between stories is so much better when Alistair is presenting. Also i believe when he is presenting his personality comes across to the viewer, while also remaining impartial and serious enough to read the news.
I think Alastair is best for the News at 10.30, but I would like to see Nina on it presenting the sport, so that she has something permanent apart from Fridays - after all, she is a great presenter. Alastair has gravitas and together with Nina I think they are a good combination.
So it looks like Nina has dropped right down the pecking order behind James Mates and Alistair Stewart.
Has she? James Mates is the main stand-in for the 10.30 and has been for a while - Alastair does it if he or Mary can't either. Nina is now the main female stand-in for the 1230 and 1830 bulletins - a role which she has held since she joined really (after all she knew that she was going to be given a lesser role when Mary and then Katie came back.)
All this talk of Alastair and the 10.30 News...it just isn't going to happen, Mark has won that position. Also, with Nina reading the sport it just shows anyone could do it really, Nina has no background in sport as far as her career is concerned.
The problem is ITV/ITN will probably have Alastair present the bulletin less often, since every time he presents it it shows up just how bland Mark Austin is.
Its most probaly just me. But with the new background of the Atrium,it makes the newswall look bigger - the background is so clear nearly realistic it looks brillant. Much better than them awful sqares.
