Strange to see ITV News correspondent Emma Murphy reporting for ITV Tyne Tees' North East Tonight. I know it's normal for an ITV regions reporter to appear on ITN - but not the other way around.
I take it though she will be reporting for the Evening News at 6:30 on the same story.
Are Emma and Stephen Douglas (I think he's called that) northern England correspondents for ITV News?

Did anyone notice the problems on the ITV Lunchtime News today .
Three live reports had to be shelved halfway through .
The first one was Katie interviewing someone then Alastair stepped in and told her they'd lost the signal .
Then they were live to an STV reporter in Stranraer about a ferry incident they lost the signal halfway through .
The next one was Daisy in Switzeralnd they lost her signal also .
Katie and Alastair were very good the way they dealt with it all.

I remember a few months back when Bill and Mary did the same for the Evening News - it amounted to nothing, they were all back standing up the next day. Wonder why they randomly choose to sit down then, if it's not a permanent change?

Good to see Lucy Meacock presenting the ITV News this weekend. Seems strange, usually when Lucy does the weekend news, she sometimes presents the friday Lunchtime News, but yesterday she was on Granada Reports.

If they are - what happened to Tim Rogers? Wasn't he ITN's North of England man? Has he been quietly shipped out like most of the old guard at ITN - people like John Draper, Kevin Dunn etc?

Still at ITN, I believe, though I could be wrong. As it stood he only made a few appearances every couple of months. Then again he could still be there behind the scenes somewhere - look at Penny Marshall for example, who's been there for something like twenty years and rarely appears on screen (and even when she does file a report it's always for News at Ten).
