Was it just my eyes, or have they added splashes of yellow to the titles and stings? Did anyone else notice this on the Lunchtime News?

I definitely saw a *slight* touch more yellow on the Evening News titles. I don't know whether it's my TV, but it sounds as if they've turned up the treble in the music, it seems more 'percussiony'.. anyone else noticed this?

I haven't noticed any difference with the music. That could just be down to the sound mixer. I know broadcasters sometimes get freelancers in to cover shifts so maybe that explains it?

What did Mark and Mary say after the NaT trailer for the piece about John Sergant? I wasn't really paying attention but noticed they were grinning after it!

Didn't see the trailer, but after the report played, they laughed and Mark said something like Good Old Sergant and then Goodnight.

In the trailer, Julie referred to John Seargent as a "dance disaster" to which Mark said "Dance disaster? I thought he was one of us?!"

Yes. Short staffing at weekends now as Geraint presented on Saturday, he hasn't presented one since early 2008. Katie/Mary seem to be presenting eachothers shifts on different days.

They cant be that short staffed...surely they could just bring in another regional person at the weekends....maybe Ben Scotchbrook or move someone from morning news....Phil Gayle????

The last three Friday's I've seen the Morning News start, the opening sting has the clock at 5.30am (correct time), yet when the main titles play the clock is at 1.30pm, fair enough it happening once, but this seems to be the norm now, you'd think someone would notice.

I haven't seen Phil for months. It seems to be either Sangeeta Kandola or Charlene White on the Morning News.

Out of curiousity is Phil Gayle related to the writer and author Mike Gayle?
