Re: the studio. It is the floor that lets it down - though the curve of the newswall doesn't do justice to the atrium shot.

I think that having the Big Ben clockface form the studio floor (as it appears to do at the end of the titles) would be better.

I've always thought the virtual graphics studio would work better as the main studio. A circular Big Ben clockface forming the floor, with a circular desk and still the ability to do virtual reports. Instead of the atrium shot though perhaps make it look like it's right in the middle of the news room!

I think it looks marvellous, it works brilliantly (well, better than it did before) and I LOVE IT Laughing

Is it just me, or has ITV news suddenly got an obsession for bits in reports where the picture is black and white but some parts are coloured? I mean, its not exactly the latest technological advance, is it?

Anyone noticed that at the titles, the clock face at the end (when they read out more headlines) tends to match up with the studio? It did on todays Lunchtime News anyway Surprised

Is someone at ITN reading this? Tonight's virtual package on the News at 10.30 used the VR studio with the big ben clockface on the floor - and it looks good too!

Any caps?

Also, anyone seen the ITV2 "Showbiz News" bulletins since relaunch, or since the ITV NC closed for that matter?

I saw a bulletin on ITV3 not too long ago, though I'm not too keen on them due to the fact they interrupt half decent movies. I think ITV4 carries them too, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I've never seen one ever. Who presents them?, and what studio did they use?

Nor have I. Do they look/sound the same as ITV1 News?

basically somebody like Steve Hargrave, or Vanessa Langford stand in front of a pink background, with disco type music reading out showbiz 'news'. They last barely a minute.

you wouldn't know it had any connection to ITV News

not sure exactly what studio they use

I don't think they ever used the full ITV studio.
