Did Anyone Think That There Were Problems With The Graphics On Tonights Evening News?

In The Main Headlines The Starp For The Late And Ben Mallany Story Didn't Apear.

In Both The Coming Up And When They Recaped The Top Stories Section The Graphic That Linked Each Story Was Not Working.

When The Regional Studios Went Back To National News Studios All I Saw Was A Shorter Version Of The Normal Music With The End Cap Of The Titles.

I Didn't Really Look At The TV Much But It Was On In The Background. So Didn't Notice Anything Strange.

By The Way - Could You Please Stop Typing Like This? Rolling Eyes

Oh - and what the heck is a "starp"??

With Katie on the Evening News, is it just me or could the tension between her and Mark be cut with a knife? Shocked Laughing

She was keeping her distance at the start of the show and looked a bit uneasy, it could have been down to the camera movement she isn't used to I suppose, but even during the presentation the atmosphere feels a bit cold. I can't really explain why, it just does Confused

I think it's just you.
When Mark shifted his weight from one foot to the other before speaking there did end up being a slightly larger gap between them than would usually be the case, but I saw nothing to suggest that there was anything behind it.
(I hadn't noticed in the past but do they normally not hold scripts for the start of the Evening News?).

I often think Mark's demeanour is a little unusual but, if anything, he tends to appear most relaxed when he is presenting with Katie.

Does anybody know when Nina will be going on maternity leave?

If I may be cruel here, Nina Hossain is terrible on the national news front. From what I saw of her on BBC London, she was alright-ish.

I'm sure I'm not being pedantic here, and I know US citizens have a penchant for mangling the pronunciation of words, but it's unusual for a UK broadcaster to do the same.

On the ITV News tonight, Steve Scott felt the need to say "Lay-man Brothers" repeatedly, even though the report he introduced correctly pronounced the name of the company as "Lee-man" .

Either Mr Scott knows better than anyone else, or he's just sloppy enough not to either know or have bothered listening to the many other reports over the last few days.

Yep - I was surprised at that. I used to share a flat with city types and it was always called "Lee-mans"...
