I'm suprised they didn't ask Geraint to come back and cover various programmes. As I thought they would want Mark to be the main anchor in Beijing throughout. Romilly Weeks will be appearing more regularly now it seems.

During weekdays it seems like they're phasing Romilly in and Nina out which I think is a good decision because when Nina does eventually go on maternity leave viewers will be familiar with Romilly. They seem to be doing the same at weekends but to a lesser extent. Romilly has done the odd weekend for quite some time but they seem to be using Lucy more frequently so it looks as though those two will replace Nina.

It also looks as though Romilly is pregnant too! Laughing Either that or shes put on a bit of weight that happens to be in that area/shape.

Shes been doing a lot of standing up/turning around today and it looks like she has a baby bump ...

Watch it tonight if you can and decide for yourself.

She's pregnant alright. Must be something in the water at ITV ...

I wonder if Romilly will go on maternity leave in January when Nina returns? Or if it's before, Lucy Meacock will be seen more often no doubt.

Funny cock-up just now on the EN; John Irvine's report rewound live on air. It kept showing a still caption saying "Independent Television News Washington", complete with the old ITN logo. Funny hearing Nina say, "Yeah, sorry about that..."

Not to mention the appearance of the 1998 ITV logo, and the current Channel 4 logo. I recorded the cock-up, so expect it to hit YouTube later tonight.

I Really Don't Like ITV Late News On Friday Nights. It Is Meant To Start At A 11pm, Last Night It Was More Like 10 Past Eleven. And Then The Program Has A Break. News At Ten Should Be On Everyday!!

I can't remember what video you're on about, as far as I know I've uploaded all the videos I said I would. If you find something to jog my memory, please let me know.

Silly bit on today's LN; a live interview with a very wet-looking James Mates stood in the middle of a road in New Orleans, with what looked like gusts of about 100mph threatening to blow him away!

Erm... anyone know when Nina's leaving then? Laughing

Because he could hardly speak with all the noise around him! It certainly seems silly and pointless to send reporters out to the centre of a city that will be (presumably) badly affected by a hurricane. Just seems like a waste of time to me.
