Don't know if anyone noticed, but Mark fronted yesterday's "Early" Evening News at 4pm. He wasn't on News at Ten... isn't that slightly odd. I liked someone's idea of having the Lunchtime News presenters split up: one on the Evening News, and one on London Tonight.
Al and Salma were on LN, which I thought was pointless.
Seems very strange to get in a specific presenter for one 15-minute bulletin, and to have two on London Tongiht. I would assume most regions have been going with just the one host.

Thames Valley Tonight went with a single host... Mary Green.

It's a bit pointless branding these 4:15pm bulletins in TV guides and on EPGs as "ITV
Evening
News and Weather". If they really couldn't be bothered to move Emmerdale to make way for the Evening News then surely they could have removed the "Evening" bit from the title of the afternoon bulletins.
Erm.. also, why the hell do they feel the need to add the "and Weather" bit onto bulletin titles? Everyone already knows that the national weather follows the national news, as it has been doing for the past 19 years...
Was flicking between Granada and London earlier, noticed Granada Reports had once presenter, London Tonight had two, which doesn't make much sense at all.
Also noticeed the Evening News was only on for 8 minutes today (it went off air at 4.23), agreed why they couldn't have waited until 7.00pm I don't know.

North East Tonight had four presenters, two per-edition.
The reason why it isn't on at 19:00 is because of Emmerdale and it would be rather close to News at Ten, then again it is to the Lunchtime News at the moment.

Yeah, it is quite odd as you say: Also Central News East stayed with two, yet Calendar South just had the one presenter yesterday?
Glad to see the weekend bulletins at more appropriate times today - 7:00pm and 10:00pm. Lucy's also presenting - what does everyone else think about her? I wasn't too keen on her originally but she's growing on me.

Does no one else think Wesley Smith would make a good national anchor - maybe even a trial on a weekend?

As much as I'd like to see that... I just think he's too nicey nicey to go national... Unless he's changed since his Central days.
Maybe he could return to his more authorative approach at reading the news like he did in the early days of Central South... See the clips on TV ARK to see what I mean.
