I would definately watch the Evening News over the News at Ten, both due to the content and also the presenters.
I think it's getting the balance right between reporting the news and making the news - for me the Evening News is there to report the news of the day, while News at Ten often focuses on their own stories, rather than the stories of the day. Obviously in some ways that's a good thing, but on the other alot of viewers just want to know what they need to know and be off to bed.

I thought tonight's News at Ten was excellent. No flashy 'exclusives', just exceedingly well produced and presented content.
Hopefully it is getting the higher ratings that are expected this week because, based on tonight's programme, you'd have to think that viewers would be encouraged to stick with it.

Angus is ITN's "UK Editor" - in fact he's been on ITV News quite a lot recently. The most recent time he appeared was on tonight's NaT! Where have you been?

Just been watching Anglia Tonight. We had the usual advert for the ITV Evening News. For the first time I think Mark and Nina were sitting down on a bench. However there was a bit of a boob as they said the ITV Evening News followed London Tonight. Tim Curtis was quick to correct the mistake.

Same on North East Tonight. However their was no correction as a very large dog and policeman were in the studio. Btw, the EN presenters sit down for the longer 'coming up after' London Tonight promo, however all other regions get a shorter version with them standing up.

I was watching The West Tonight and they had the LT trailer too. I like the sit down on the sofa with Nina style and the more measured almost relaxed style of presentation. Steve Scott looked slightly wistful after the London Tonight sign off but he apologizes for nothing.
As I'm a bit of a nerd I was was watching CNE too and I noticed the 6.30 news trailer was the usual standing up , drums and stern tone of voice from Mark and Nina for that region.

Granada Reports rarely gets the coming up promo. Unsure if we had it tonight because I didn't watch it but on most nights its not there.
