Look at the date he wrote that piece - 4th January 2006. The re-brand didn't happen until 16th January 2006.

Pretty shoddy!

I have to say that the revamp has been a bit wet. This change for the better 'in my opinion' has not been fulfilled.

The local newsrooms have been given a guff rebrand. I really like the previous look this looks like a Scotland Today pick n'mix.

The journalism is not that much better, if I see another local doggy wins a pooch beauty parlour story I will damage my new LCD telly.

In Anglia(W) we could win money, not that much, for guessing what the background was each week.

Did the other regions do that?

You didn't have to guess. You just had to listen to the newsreaders tell you the anwser before they asked the question.

Well, it certainly is interesting that they chose her over Katie Derham to stand in for Mary.

Katie does the lunchtime news and London Tonight though doesnt she?
