They'll probably do what they always did with the old news at ten. Change the time on the clock face - that's it.

The titles aren't rendered live so that's not possible - as we saw from the short-lived Friday night Late News use of truncated NaT titles.

That's impossible as the titles are already rendered. It would have cost ITN a good few thousand to get another set done for 11pm, hence why they chopped the NAT titles for the short-lived NAT-style Late News.

Incidentally, the Sky EPG has updated with 'The Late News' at 10.30pm.

As the football is going to majorly over-run tonight will 'News at Ten' be branded 'The Late News' tonight instead?

I'm sure it won't. News at Ten is the programme's name, so I think it's likely to stay that way, no matter how late it starts.

Exactly. It's still News at Ten

We've seen the BBC Ten O'Clock News air with the same degree of lateness

It's anybody's guess as to whether it will get on the air before 11pm. If it starts after 11pm, are you suggesting the programme still be called News at Ten?

I don't know how much to read into it, but the Sky EPG has updated to say 'The Late News' now.

They'll probably have had plans for the football overrunning anyway, so perhaps it will be Late News branded.

The EPG seems to think so.

I can't see it being on air pre 11. Poor Trevor must be fuming having to work past half 10! Smile

Poor Trevor must be furious having to work past 22.30. Very Happy

Oh well it's the usual News At Ten - even the time on the clockface!

Also the introduction on the ITV1 ident said, "Congratulations Manchester United, Secret Diary of a Call Girl follows The News At Ten" This was also broadcast on ITV1Wales which i don't think are broadcasting that series tonight!
