Oh, fair enough then, I didn't see it!

Mark was implying Trevor was a busy man, he said it with a straight face whereas Katie was grinning away.

Gosh, they're pushing the advertising on this Portrait of Prince Phillip documentry tonight.

Hmm if I recall, Mark hesitated before saying ''Julie.''

He said: "Join Trevor - gosh he's busy - and Julie"...... It was just a joke because of the Prince Philip report Rolling Eyes

It does annoy me though when they promote stuff like that on the news......they did it with that McCann documentary as well. It's basically just advertising.

Jeesh. I'm sorry I even spoke. Rolling Eyes

Okay I misheard Mark... I'm sure he said Mary though (and to my ears it did sound like he said "cos she's busy"). Hmm. Oh well, obviously not!

Was Mark suggesting the News at Ten is a white elephant there?

Regarding the story about the cow the size of a baby elephant he said "and on that note, here's whats happening on tonights News at Ten" Mary then said "I struggle to find any similarities" before Mark said that she always struggles!

He's clearly getting his own back on the fact he doesn't present it!

I thought he was calling Trev a baby elephant...?
Mark does seem slightly too bitchy, Mary joining in as well with the giggles. Confused Laughing

Bitchy is a bit of an understatement when it comes to Mark! Though I'm sure normal service will resume when Trevor retires and Mark has News at Ten (and Julie) all to himself. Not that I'm insinuating anything there.

Do you REALLY think that a professional news anchor would take the final few minutes of a news broadcast to take a stab at a more senior presenter? Get real, you've been watching too much Anchorman.

Oh come on. I don't think anyone was actually being serious about Mark's "comments". Rolling Eyes

Mark always seems miserable when he is without Mary, especially at the start of the show when he does the opening story. When he is looking away then looks to camera, he usually has some sort of smile but when he presents along side Nina or Katie, sour faced is an understatement. About the News at Ten remarks, I think he is just trying to show his personality.

Whilst on the subject of News at Ten, its been interesting to see Julie do the 9.50pm promos on her own last night and tonight.

Tom, if anything Mark seems to have more of a laugh with Katie than when he's presenting with Mary. The opening story is usually not a light-hearted one so not the best place to look for any smiles.
Having said that, Mary does appear to have lightened-up a bit on the last few occasions that I have seen her.

I'd certainly agree that he appears happier when presenting with one of the more long-standing female presenters in the shape of Katie or Mary than with Nina or Julie.
