Ah...those were the days. Some younger viewers won't remember that, until Channel 4 went it alone to find it's own advertising revenue, ITV and Channel 4 used to cross promote for each other. And it was quite common for John Suchet to say at the end of the old 5.40 news 'Next from ITN, the Channel 4 News'. Seems absolutely unimaginable nowadays but telly was different then.
And at the end of News at Ten I seem to remember a caption saying "Bulletins during the night on ITV, Channel 4 Daily at 6am" or something simular.
I seem to remember both Carol and Dermot presented the news on the Channel 4 Daily and they were both later associated with ITV News bulletins.
Yea, I think Dermot presented the main business sections, with Carol as main news presenter.

I think in the eighties and very early 90s it may have happened sometimes, but then Channel 4 news was just considered another programme from ITN.
Jon Snow did host the ITV election coverage in 1992, he was by then a channel 4 face.
