Did Steve Scott do the Evening News promo or is he actually reporting on Calendar?

The presenter on Calendar just pointed Steve out and said he'll be on the Evening News at 6:30.

Yet another ITV News Exclusive tonight. ITV News really don't get the credit and the ratings they deserve

I agree!

This has got to wipe the floor with the BBC's Scoop of the year. Obviously pure chance, but still! Well done ITV NEWS - a well executed bulletin so far.

Pure chance, yes, but the harder you work, the more chances you get. Well done ITV, and they made the best of it.

They were filming a 'fly-on-the-wall' with Shannon Matthew's family when word came through she'd been found alive.

Nice extended ITV News promo at 22:45 then on ITV1. I think rather than the usual 10 or 20 seconds it was much longer (possibly 1 minute) and featured the exclusive footage and an interview.

Seems that ITV News have had a really good week this week.

From the exclusive footage of the intruder at Heathrow, the David Cameron exclusive and then tonight's Sharon Matthews exclusive.

ITN always get these exclusives it's a shame they don't get the ratings they sometimes deserve.

I actually think that it is their second best news programme after Channel 4 News.

Don't think so - C4 News gets very low ratings in comparison to BBC and ITV News programmes, and is more comparable with Newsnight's ratings.

From memory, the highest rated ITV News programme is the 1830 Early Evening News, which is third in the 1800-1900 News ratings behind the BBC Regional and BBC National News, with the ITV Regional News coming last.

i think by 'best' he meant his favourite ITN produced bulletin, rather than the highest rated.

and i don't think it's fair to compare the audience of the ITV 6.30 news it to the combined ratings of 'BBC regional'. It's usually nip and tuck with the BBC 6pm news during the week IIRC.
