It looks like they've been bringing most of the 2007 weekend team back lately what with Lucy back last week. Until last week, I think most weekend bulletins were presented by Nina with Steve on the odd occasion. Nina was probably down to do today but they've probably given her the day off because she was there all day Friday and yesterday.
Talking of the old weekend team, anyone know what's happening with Andrea Catherwood now her weekly show has been axed. Is she likely to return to ITN?
When Andrea was with ITN, did she anchor the Weekend bulletins every Saturday and Sunday, or did she rotate with another presenter e.g. Shulie Gosh?
Unfortunetly I don't think she will return, they have just hired Trevor and Julie, I think they will just continue to stretch releif presenters to the limit, e.g. Lucy Meacock.
Officially Andrea, James Mates and Bill Neely shared the weekend duties, but I think after a while Andrea began to dominate the role, though Lucy Owen did them quite often for a while. (IIRC like all ITV News readers, Andrea fell pregnant to big Trev!)
I don't think James Mates does the weekend news that often now, but up until the return of News at Ten had been the main relief presenter for Mark on the 10.30, while I think it's been quite a while since Bill Neely hosted a bulletin - he certainly hasn't been a regular stand in for quite some time.
A funny cock-up their. Nina introduced the drugs report on how they aren't helping depressed people, she finished and the report was obviously meant to play. The camera then slowly zoomed in on her (she was at the video wall), and a bong played followed by the report.
I notice Mark is absent again, I wish I could take as much time off as him and still get paid quite a good wage..

Yep thats what I thought happened! But on rewinding it I noticed that you could see a News At Ten piece of glass appear infront of Nina aswell before the correct story was broadcast.
Very good effect there if anybody caught it. Nina was stood in front of the video wall then the studio spun around as though she spun around and the camera followed. It then produced a graphic explaining the earthquake.
