Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I have eventually realised that currently, the first advert following the ITV news is always Topps Tiles. It even says on their website that they only have three adverts on ITV a day, straight after the news.

Strange isn't it. I suspect they put in a bid to sponsor the weather, but when they failed were offered this option instead, though have been seriously conned considering I'm sure 99% of all viewers switch off now before having to suffer a burst of Sheila's Wheels.

It's surely a bit of a con to Shelia's Wheels too, they've paid for the exclusive sponsorship of the weather but Topps Tiles are effectively sponsoring the weather too.

Bringing back Trevor was pointless, judging by the ratings. They could have just used Mark. I assume the budget cuts at ITN was to pay for Trevor and Julie?

News at Ten is excellent - great journalism, brilliant presentation, wonderful presenters, magnificent graphics - but the Sheila's Wheels sting into the weather somewhat ruins it.
