Nina presenting the weekend bulletins for the second or third consecutive week. Looks like they have finally got a proper weekend anchor. All they need to do is sort the times out. They have been OK today and last week, but ITV are up to their old tricks again next week splitting a film around the news!


Oh and wasn't it me who made this claim some weeks ago, and was heavily doubted by someone..

I'm sure Nina has done this weekend and the weekend before, with Steve Scott on the two weekends before that. Maybe they are rotating as normal?

During the opening of the Evening News just now, they featured an "ITV News Exclusive" DOG in the top right in one of the clips.

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but how long has this been in use? It looks awful. The previous one looked so much better!

It was awful, all the white around the logo made it look like a cut out!

I hope we haven't seen the end of Geraint presenting.. He seems to be reporting more instead since NaT has returned.

Cock up into the start of the ITV News at 5:30.

The ident finished, and then it cut to a black screen with a woman talking it was very muffled.

Shortly after the recorded headlines played.

Steve Scott stood up during the headlines but sat down introducing the top story.

I hope not too although Nina and Steve seem to be sharing the weekend bulletins now. Geraint will probabaly be used for cover when they are short of a presenter.

Good to see Steve back a bit more often though. I suspect Geraint will take a backseat for a while until Trevor moves on and Mark becomes the regular host of News at Ten.


An old topic I'm sure, but considering the effort they've gone too to make News at Ten different really when Mark does take over he should step down from the Evening News.


Then again though I guess it's the same problem as when he replaced Trevor in the first place - the Evening News gets far more viewers.

I hear Geraint's other half - Central Tonight's Sarah Jane Mee (also breakfast co-host on Heart in the West Midlands) is soon to give up her midlands jobs and join the lovely Mr Vincent in the Capital.
