If they have gone back and remade titles from the 1980's, they should go back and remake these. (It starts at 0.31)

But they could tweak it to fit in with ITV today because obviously they couldn't use the blocks ...

Questionable today starting with the all youths are murderers story - and then an interview with an ex-Bad Lads Army bloke, before going to the main breaking news of the day - which had broken well in advance of going to air to give them time to start with it.

You're joking? Thats a terrible decision! The One O clock news interrupted the bulletin as soon as the news had broken and News 24 broke away at that point too!

Did I see right then ?

At the start and they showed the long shot, is Mark presenting Live from the top of a Crane ?

On the closing shot of the studio before the break ITV left Mark Austin on the video wall and you could see him bending down, obviously sorting scripts out - talking away by the looks of it.

Quite surprised noone has picked up on this. ITV Weekend News has actually sorted itself out for once in terms of scheduling. Todays times are:

12.05pm- Lunchtime bulletin
5.45pm- Evening Bulletin
11.00pm- Late News

The regional news only appears to be on for five minutes today- at 12.15pm unless its integrated into other bulletins.

Much better scheduling from ITV. I wonder if they keep this up. Looking ahead to next week, they have similar times except the late bulletin which is at 11.45pm.

Its good to see uninterrupted films though.

It's been discussed earlier - there's nothing wrong with the national scheduling today, but the evening regional news was on at 2.35 Shocked which understandably attracted adverse comment earlier in the thread

ITV News interupts the late Saturday night film, Red Dragon, at 11pm. Next week the late news is 11.45pm, and its interupting the film I think. I wouldn't say the scheduling has been sorted out. Look at regional news timings aswell.

I meant sorted out in essence to the fact Londoner pointed out- we had the evening bulletin at 2.35pm with the lunchtime bulletin at around 1pm. They are spread out across the day much better.

I take it Lucy Meacocks appearences on the Weekend News in 2007 were a one-off? I have not seen her in a while, it has mainly been Steve Scott the past couple of weekends I think, with Nina today.

I enjoyed Lucy's appearances on it, but I suppose she can't do it all the time (as she was) because of where she lives and where the studio is located. She was probably just putting the hours in before Christmas for an extra bit of money or whatever. I much preferred Lucy over Steve although I do like Nina.

Shame they havent sorted out the regional news scheduling though with the "early evening" bulletin at about 2.40pm today .Why on earth couldnt they have it at 5.30pm before the ITV News (well actually I think we know the answer to that!)

Also I think someone here said that Steve is the main weekend presenter but cant do every weekend due to presenting The West Tonight 4 days a week, so Nina/Geraint/Romilly/Lucy stand in when he cant do it.
