Here's the butchered UTV version

Blimey, they've made a real pig's ear of that, haven't they.

Love it how UTV take the opportunity to rebrand the programme WORLD News at Ten!!???? What were they thinking!

And actually even worse when written "World News at 10.00" rather than "News at Ten"

Possibly for many in Northern Ireland, the "national" news would mean either UTV Live/BBC Newsline or RTÉ...

It is ironic though given UTV still mention "the studios of ITN in London" from time to time in announcements when everyone else calls it "ITV News".

Essentially the News at Ten Thirty moved to 11:04. Quite awful.

I don't get it - what's so awful about having the Late News at 2304?

Does this not constitute late? Or is it still early to you mid-morning insomniac jerkoffs?

It is not The Late News until next week. Not that that makes much difference.

A random question, but why is the platform further back than it used to be. When the theatre of news was first used it had a lot of room at the front of the desk, but now hasn't got as much.

And is there a reason why they went for such a strange platform for the desk, couldn't they had a shiny black one similar to BBC Sport's studio, or even the lit white one again?

I'm pretty sure the desk is where it always was.

I think the platform looks further away from the screen than it used to as well ...

I've just watched a few clips on youtube to see, and it does look like that

Looks the same to me. Don't forget that the cameras angles are different and the newer platform under the desk looks to be quite a bit smaller. That could explain it.
