Yea i know that the promo they are in the real studio, but im asking is what have they been doing in the real studio for the past couple of weeks that we havent seen it? From what you've said, all i can say is that all?

The news has been coming from the usual studio apart from one day.

The only change is that the floor is now fake.

All they have done is removed the walkway and painted the floor green so that images can be projected onto the floor as well as the wall. I'm not sure what direction they are going in with it.

I think I'd rather have bloody Michael Winner than Sheila's Wheels - a company that should not be allowed to exist at all due to it's blatant discrimination.

What a silly thing to say.

They are entitled to sell, or not sell, their products to whoever they choose.

Completely wrong.

Ever seen a insurance company for men? No. Because the women of the world would go up in complete arms.

Having an insurance company for women is like specific insurance companies for races, nationalities and ages - let alone sexes.

Just spotted your reply.

You are the one who is sadly mistaken.

Goods and services suppliers are not bound to sell anything to anyone they don't want. They can choose to sell to one-legged dwarfs if they want.

Its no different to being refused admission to a women only pub.

Check your facts, sunshine.

Shielas Wheels actually sell car insurance to men believe it or not

Yes they offer policies to "boyfriends and partners".

It doesn't alter the fact that they can "discriminate" to whom they sell without breaking any law. Just as life insurers don't sell policies to people with some terminal or chronic illness.

The only reason there are no "men only" insurers is because male drivers are (apparently) greater risks.

I'd thought all that sort of thing had been banned - or does legislation only apply to "Gentlemen's clubs"?

So it's false advertising they're guilty of then?

Whatever the legal ins and outs of it are, still probably the most annoying advert on the box!

Annoying maybe, catchy definitely. You're discussing it here after all.

I pay more for my car insurance because I am male under 25 - the highest risk group there is. Therefore companies who do not target my demographic can offer lower premia to their customers as they are less likely to fork out for the crashes of boy racers like me.

The fact that I am not a boy racer and my maximum no claims bonus is irrelevant. I'm that age, that sex, therefore that risk group. End of.

Nice to know you have a thorough understanding of the English language.

Notice how I use conditionals in my post - and not imperatives. Those are my opinions, not facts.

Shame none of your friends bought you a dictionary for Christmas, eh? Laughing

There you go moaning about Gavin's use of the English language, yet you don't know what a dictionary is. A dictionary is for definitions.

Believe it or not, Jugalug, dictionaries are used for things than other than definitions - like where words are derived from and variations of verbs, etc.

What is the point of a book which defines words from the English language if it does not inform you of what context the words are used in?
