The TV ad for News at Ten was shown at the end of the news, It looks like their using the current desk and just using the background seen in the picture on the other page.

What are those weird blurred parts to that background? They are the only thing that don't look that great on the closeups.
I do think that they need a different desk, even if it would be to have a black surround for the bottom of the desk, a bit like BBC News does for Breakfast, just something to tone it down a bit.
I'm hoping that they could do something else to the studio too. Maybe add a couple of fake screens rather than having the picture floating as normal.
I expect that it will be a sneaky way to tie in the current studio, making it feel individual, but not too much.
It's a shame that we can't see anything different to the other bulletins though if they went for the same London background, it would make the Evening News (in the winter) look the same, maybe something that we don't want.

I think just a normal london backdrop- maybe focusing on Big Ben- would be enough, not necessarily the same design.

Now unless ive read wrong, i got the impression from this forum that the ITV News has been coming from the virtual studio thing, the one they dont normally use. Now after seeing that pic from the promo...they moved out of the "real" studio to do what exactly?

They are in the same studio as before with the huge graphic wall, the floor has just been painted green because the walkway has been removed.
