Was it only me that had a few transmission problems just after Meridian had handed over to the National and the 6.30 clock was very jerky?

No it happened here on UTV as well.

Same here in London. And does anyone know what happened to ITV Wales news at the beginning of their bulletin, apparently they fell off air - did anyone capture it in video?

it wasn't a major rebrand

Eh? As said above, nearly every aspect has changed in some way.

Since seeing the fancy "clock face turns into the studio floor" bit of the titles, the new look has grown on me.

Shame about the problems at the start of the 6:30 news, I'm yet to see the titles in full. Rolling Eyes

EDIT: It just occured to me that with the teal colour scheme and Fontsmith font, some of the "full screen" graphics look a bit like C4 news.

Sorry, yes it has. Calendar hasn't really, but I'll go to the Y/L thread.

Excellent, pole dancing. Wink No doubt they'll be a few complaints.

Fire Alarm went off in the studio so we got an ITV1 logo with an announcer apologising for the loss of the programme. It was a false alarm so we were able to return to the studio after 5 minutes.

Well the studio looks the same to me, just green with a new backdrop.

Which regions have "gone green" with the lights and which haven't?

I know Meridian are still blue...

Tyne Tees still with blue lighting.

Some opinions... I don't really like the new music. It's obviously compulsory to jazz up music at a relaunch but they are never as good as the original. There's bits of music going up and down allover the place, I prefered the Feb'04 version. There was no real need to change the music really.

The studio is great, good to see the atrium back. Maybe they actually listened to us here!

One thing I miss though is the closing animation/music. Having just a shot of the studio is a bit boring, a bit 'ITV Morning News'

Disappointing they arn't naming the bulletins on the titles. Especially at Lunchtime as it went "...now the News at 12.30 on ITV1", Titles "ITV News", Nick: "Welcome to Monday's Lunchtime News"

People asking if this can be considered a relaunch or just a refresh. Well as everything has changed bar the physical structure of the studio, I'd say it's definally a full relaunch. We wern't expecting all this!

Well maybe ITV have listened to us by putting the atrium on view.

Yes indeed. I'm quite sure that TV Forum is any major broadcaster's first port of call when considering how to rebrand... Rolling Eyes Anyway, if you just want to see the atrium, watch Channel 4 News - at least their view is a 'real' one!
