Four day weeks are just about acceptable, but three days is ridiculous.

Mark and Mary Monday to Thursday, with perhaps them allowed one day off each on alternate weeks, so that at least four nights out of five one of the main presenters is always on duty.

No problem with Geraint/Nina (or whoever) stepping in on Fridays - probably anchoring both the 1.30pm and 6.30pm, with James Mates anchoring the later bulletin.

More bad scheduling on ITV1, the national news is at 2.35 and 5pm, with regional 2.45 and 4.45, that's just 2 hours inbetween, surely they could have done the lunchtime news before Jack Frost at 12.55?

Geraint Vincent presented the Christmas Day (and Christmas Eve?) bulletins.

I had to laugh at the end one of the bulletins when he was speaking about the van crashing into the ABC news building.

At the end he said ''..I hope it doesn't catch on over here''. It was a nice way to end the bulletin!

He also said "I'm off to re-arrange some traffic cones".

Geraint also fronted the bulletins on Xmas Eve. Steve Scott is on today.

Today's events raise the question did ITV's promise of "breaking news" teams every materialise after the end of the ITV News Channel?

Would they argue that it's Christmas?

I'm sure that they did recently have a breaking news update about a story, I'm not sure what it was though.
