Fantastic .... lovely atrium backdrop, colour in the set, music is fantatsic, regional is crap music.

But what I dont get is, what are all these people doing walking out and being almost blown off the face of Big Ben?

Well, I am dissapointed to be honest, dont like the backdrop, I miss the closing animation on the newswall (when they had it in perfect sync of course), Astons and music are good, but the rest of it just not sure. The people walking on big ben makes no sense at all.

Regional music ok, Still waiting to see the full version of the titles but the short version doesnt make me hopefull.
And the fact that some of the regions havent botherd to change the studio lighting is c£:p IMO!

Away from itv news the rest of the rebrand is good, especiallly the itv1 idents very fresh, the itv2 idents are quite cool in a quirky kind of way.

It's a lot better than the old ones! The BBC may not be as good, but it's the content that counts, and BBC wins hands down!

Yet, if this is a presentation forum, which I fear it might be, it wouldn't at all Smile

The titles do make BBC News titles look like something a spotty 16 year old on work experiance did... Rolling Eyes

I like the new bit which has been added into the regional theme. Kind of piano-ish. Sounds very regional news-ish. (Stop with the -ishs)

The people walking over Big Ben remind me of the BBC Breakfast News titles from 1997-2000. And the panning round on the clock face reminds me of the BBC One O'Clock News titles from the late eighties / early-nineties !

Indeed, BBC News bulletins now look, sound and feel very stale indeed. I know the BBC's content is probably better than that of ITV News but in terms of presentation, ITV wins hands down. In fact, I think I would rank BBC News under both ITV News and Channel 4 News now. It really has lost its charm.

Well maybe ITV have listened to us by putting the atrium on view. Don't be disappointed, it wasn't a major rebrand, I wasn't expecting too much to be honest.

Was it only me that had a few transmission problems just after Meridian had handed over to the National and the 6.30 clock was very jerky?
