That's what got me thinking they may be building a new set. Anyway, Pad, Londoner has explained already but heres a quick picture, you can see the differences.

Hmm. This is interesting. That last shot on the evening news didn't look like it usually does, I noticed that much.
If News at Ten
is
back in January, I would guess it'll launch on Monday 7th January with the new set(?) as this is the week when all the new ITV1 dramas and, presumably, schedules, are expected to launch.
Well, the walkway and platform is clearly fake. which suggests that they've struck the physical 'theatre for news' set and turned studio 2 into a green box over the weekend.
Presumably it's all part of a studio shuffle in the run-up to the NaT launch, but who knows what they're up to?

Perhaps one studio will be for the Lunchtime and Evening bulletins, and one for News at Ten? Presumably there isn't a need for two identical(ish) studios now there's no News Channel? Or am I wrong again?
It seems that the walkway, newswall base and floor are all fake. Which studio they are in, whether it be the main or the virtual
'virtual'
one I have no idea.
