The latest version of the virtual set doesn't look at all bad. Shame it didn't look as good when the news channel was using it on a regular basis.

The fact that they have moved the desk into the virtual studio does suggest that either they plan to be in there a while, or the desk is being replaced in the real one. Can anyone (Titsrobot?) confirm or deny either or these?

With the main desk now being moved into the virtual studio, I'd hazard a guess that they are building a new set, or tweaking the current one. As I've said though, virtual set looks really good, very realistic. The walkway looks better being low! Will be good to see what the Evening News is like tonight, was a jib still in use today?

The desk in the above images is the real desk but it isn't in the CSO studio Wink

Mad idea here but, The London Studio maybe?? otherwise, have we been fooled all along and its the usual studio? Laughing

You haven't been fooled. They did move to the CSO studio for a while over the weekend.

Phil Gayle in the earlier screenshots is clearly in the CSO studio. The more recent shots though seem to be too good for the fully virtual set.

Maybe they are just working on the floor in the main studio, and they've masked it out with what we are seeing.

No doubt I am completely missing the point...but the only difference I can see is the desk has a white base on the earlier on shots and a grey one in current shots.

I aint a graphics expert so if I am making a idiot of myself (as per usual) please excuse me!! lol Wink

Yes it is very interesting. What made me think they were still virtual was there was no moving off the 1 spot at the start and end of the bulliten.
