I notice on the ITN site it says this :
ITN produces all news bulletins for ITV1 including the ITV Weekend News and special programming for ITV, including election programmes, breaking news and coverage of events. ITN also provides news for ITV2 and for itv.com/news.
Wonder when ITV2 bulletins will start. It also seems the bulletins will be showbiz bulletins not news -
ITN makes news programmes for ITV1, the ITV1 London regional news and daily showbiz news bulletins on ITV2.

Showbiz bulletins on ITV2 and 3 have been running for ages - they are not new.
P.S. Is that one of the shortest ITV News looks ever - less than 2 years?
I know in the 1999-2004 look the titles were changed to blue/yellow in mid-2003 with a few cosmetic changes once or twice before that, but apart from that I think most looks for the national news have been with us a good few years with only minor changes.
I'm not looking on today as being a whole re-launch of ITV News. In my opinion, it has been more of a tweak along the lines of the 2003 tweak to the 1999 look. In essence, the studio is the same (albeit with a new background) and the music is practically the same. The only things that have changed dramatically are the titles and graphics. It isn't like the 2004 re-launch where absolutely everything changed in one go.
Interesting thought. Of course, you could look at it the other way and say the only thing that hasn't changed, is the set, (and even that has, a little).
I love the new National Titles & Music - they are excellent as are the regional titles but the Regional Music is just plain tacky in the middle - only on the longer versions - I think the sting is pretty good.
I also like the titles have that 'missing' beat in them. Fingers cross it'll be on KPM.
It's difficult to say - but the titles are a completly new concept compared to the previous set. It's not on the scale of 2004, but isn't far behind (as said, only the set hasn't really changed - though as the background has changed dramtically you could argue it has!).
Am I the only one then to have seen the regional titles so far (on Granada at 10.55) - can anyone get them off the regional news browser thingy?
And back to the set - anyone got some caps of the general election set for comparison?
I'm still not sure about the new one - I think if they make the background so realistic they've got to do the same with the screens etc - so possibly limiting the view of the atrium to just directly behind the desk and having the two sides appear to be large screens.
Or alternatively, rotating the desk 45 degrees and having the atrium appear behind it on half the newswall, with the other half remaining as a newswall that can be used for reports etc.
Be interesting to see how it's used for things like the papers later tonight.
Also, finally have UTV changed their news graphics - I know they adopted the previous ones with a UTV logo slapped on the side - and I think the UTV logo could easily fit into the new graphics package.

Nope, nothing has changed on the UTV Live front. They have adopted the promos and breakbumper and made new idents but everything on UTV Live remains the same.
