The titles remind me of one of the old North East Tonight titles from the 90's.

The new titles look very modern, quick and slick. The old version looked bland compared to the new ones!

For comparison purposes, see how much bluer Calendar is than Central. Central's background is all a bit murky and the set doesn't look to be lit properly.

Why don't they use one of the normal backgrounds.. Tyne Tees does that when both of the editions are joined together..

Meridian's new look, The corner ID now has no background just the white and blue text which I'm not sure is a good idea

Central's background has been like that for ages, ever since the switch from blue to teal it just hasn't looked right.

I thought that regions like Central and Tyne Tees who have a teal scheme in the studio, would have changed it to blue, like Yorkshire.

Mockup of a quick titles endcap change:

Tinting the clock blue and adding a blue logo would sort it out and fit with the new straps.

Yep, I wish they'd change it to blue like it was originally, make it's look more fresher. The teal just looks dark and horrible!http://www.christiedigital.co.uk/recentInstallations/BusinessSolutions/Broadcast/ITV/images/image2.jpg

Remarkable what you can achieve with a a few lighting changes and a re-jig of the standard intro for regional bulletins - especially if you are planning to save £45M a year.

It's a shame the programme content hasn't improved.

Tyne Tees lunch bulletin is now on ITV Local, no doubt other regions are too...

Edit: The picture format hasn't changed to 16:9 or 4:3 on Tyne Tees, but it has for London.
