Did I miss Mark on location at the start of the evening news? As Bill was presenting along with Mary and said that Mark would be here with the 10.30 news.
If not, has this happened before, I thought that Mark always did both programmes or neither. Unless by Mark, he meant Mark Webster was hosting the 10.30!

This has happened before. Mark wasn't on location. Perhaps he had family commitments?
It happens quite often for various reasons I'm sure such as being out doing interviews/reports for the 10.30 (occassionally) or at some industry event.

It's happened quite a few times before. Jon Snow wasn't on the C4 news last night, maybe it was an ITN main anchor/industry thing!
Good to see ITV not defending their decision to move the News at Ten with Trevor McDonald saying it was a stupid decision and Mark saying back where it belongs all broadcast on ITV News. Also, looks as though Mark will be returning for the 10pm bulletin.

Correct. As published on Media Guardian, Julie will be the lead anchor and host 5 nights a week with either Trevor or Mark by her side.
I'm not sure how this will work, as I would have imagined Trevor/Mark to sit and read the news and Julie stand at the wall and then join them. Unless they do like the evening news at present with Mary taking the lead story at the wall. Though I think it would be weird. And I couldn't imagine Trevor/Mark walking in just to do the business and sport.

Media Guardian changed that story shortly after it was published and removed the reference to lead anchor, it then reffered to Julie as a co-presenter. Typical quality reporting from MG
ITV News is going to be broadcast in widescreen from December, about time too! (confirmed on Digital Spy)
Digital Spy posted:
ITV's national and regional news output will be broadcast in widescreen from December.
ITN's first networked ITV news programme in widescreen will be the 05:30 bulletin on Sunday, December 2.
With the exception of Westcountry's regional news programmes, all regional news and weather programming on ITV will go out in widescreen starting with December 2's lunchtime bulletins. Westcountry will continue to broadcast its local programmes in 4:3 for now.
