And also, there are people moving around in the newsrooms. This is amazing - ITV News is once again at the forefront of news presentation - and ironically it's all thanks to what used to be BBC Broadcast.

Makes you wonder why they held back so much on the BBC News package, eh.

I think the "bong" sounds like the bell has got a crack in it!

I would have thought that the atrium backdrop is the work of ITN's own people - surely they did the election backdrop, not Red Bee.

I hate the way the live links and gfx are overlayed the atrium image though - they should have made them look as if they were on some sort of a screen or something.

apart from the backdrop the studio is the same as before. slightly dissapointed at that as they were out of the studio for 2 days

Would've been interesting to see what the News Channel looked like today, had it still been around.

2 days !!! What were you expecting ? It takes them over a week to build a regional set.

Think it looks great, but I've always been a fan of the atrium.

I don't like the graphics at all. Full Screen Backings are cool, the Atrium is amazing, and the Titles are good, the graphics let it down.

Really? I'm impressed they only took 2 days, considering the work involved in training the cameras to work with a backdrop like that.

I'm very impressed so far. They've got the Virtual Reality down to a fine art - it's absolutely flawless.

Love the new astons and graphics too - everything looks so much more professional than before.

Presumably the view from the 'window' will change for the evening bulletins when it's dark outside - but I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
