It looked very much like it. On both occasions (last night and tonight) the newsreaders have quickly turned to look at one another immediately after signing off. It then cuts straight to the pre-recorded close with the two of them looking at each other. It looks really fake and cheapens ITV News.

I don't know how long this has been the case but Owen Thomas has updated his website, he is no longer 'A presenter on the ITV News Channel' what with it closing down years ago

I'm pretty surprised at that. I know one person has died tragically from this, but even Sky and News 24 weren't leading with that at midnight (to my knowledge).

The pan into the studio wasn't used at the start of the Lunchtime News. I thought they used it, except on bulletins where Nina was presenting. But it was Katie & Geriant, anyone know?
Their have been two or three different correspondents the past few days, don't know their names but would they be from the regions or covering correspondents who are on holiday?
