Was it just my television there or was the whole newswall background shaking? I've noticed its happened before, especially on the endings of the bulletin.

Saw that too, the background jumping up & down as if the building was being shook. Good to have Mark & Nina reunited they make a great team. Very impressed with the main reports this evening, they were in great detail and had great graphics, very well done - it's times like this they're at their best.

Mark and Nina are a great team, and the graphics are good when you think about them in contrast with the BBC National News' which, in my opinion look terrible. When they want to, ITV can really pull out some good exclusives etc for their news.

Just before the ending tonight a picture popped up of a wide shot, showing mark and nina talking. At the end of the bulletin, it started with the same exact angle. It looks as if the ending is pre-recorded aswell.

It was just a still picture. I think most of tonight's program was quite bad. There were lots of techincal problems (in my region anyway), at one point we heard somebody shout ''20 seconds.'' The ending seemed a little weird. It was obvious Mark and Nina weren't talking, Nina was just moving her lips. All a bit shoddy. Oh and at the beginning, you could see Nina's little box!

I heard "20 seconds" as well. I have to say I couldn't notice Nina's box.

You know, I think the end of the News at 10.30 last night was pre-recorded too. When Mark signed off, he started to walk but when the vision mixer cut to a wide shot of the studio he was stood still, then started to walk.

This must all be to do with the cost-cutting measures at ITN. It is making ITV News look very cheap.

how could pre-recording the ending be cheaper?

The presenters get paid per step, so using old pre recorded steps save money... maybe.

If they are paid by step, who's stupid idea is it to make the presenters walk about the studio.
