I suppose thats one advantage of having the ITV national and regional bulletins split at lunchtime. They can use one of the ITV Lunchtime News presenters on London Today!

True, and it was great to have Katie presenting an extra bulletin, but I don't expect it to be the norm and suspect that it was just a case of the usual presenters being on holiday or otherwise engaged.

Give it a couple of months and they'll be dragging them in from Loose Women to read the news too!

The Evening News ending again with the presenters sitting at the desk. Is this going to be the norm from now on?

I would have guessed so, it happend last night aswell.
Bit of a weird ending tonight , we started off with a nice pan from the jib, but then it cut to the static wideshot used on weekends.

It looks as if it will be most common when Mark presents with Nina - last week they had a seated ending to the programme on Thursday but standing on Monday when it was Mark and Mary.

Can't they just get Nina a box instead then?

Either that, or platforms.

Another boring ending to the News at 10.30. Just one still camera angle, with James Mates, painfully walking slowly to the desk. The studio looked very small due to the location of the camera.

Well funnily enough, most of the sit-in presenters for Kaye Adams have been GMTV "news" hour presenters !

Since Monday, the Lunchtime News have spoke to reporters and guests using a split screen graphic, instead of using the studio walls. That's a bit of a waste.

I noticed that- looks a bit poor.
