You see I think the opposite.
I feel it makes the studio appear smaller because you can clearly tell that the background is fake because you can see there is just a studio wall behind it and that its no a window.....
I'm not saying any viewer actually beleives it is a window but it is the illusion they are going for.
Anyway nice to see behind the scenes a bit

there was no break tonight between the national and regional news. I hope they do this for the lunchtime buliten too

Today was the first time I've watched the Morning News in a couple of years, and I thought Jon Gilbert was the most depressing presenter I've seen ever. I prefered Owen Thomas so much more.

Regarding this new itv news website with an emphasis on user generated content:
"And then at night there will be 4 minutes of Uploaded shown on the 10.30pm ITV News programme."
I don't like the sound of that. 4 minutes of low production values will take a big chunk of an already tight bulletin.
