All change to ITV regional news from Monday 4th June, then.

You'll find that the regional headlines at 13:30, 18:50 and 22:30 have been scrapped.

Also, no more handovers from and to the national programme from Grays Inn Road; the regional bulletins at 13:55 and 22:55 will become separate programmes and no longer part of the national bulletin.

So it's a bit like what the BBC do now. I suppose this gives the regions a chance to get in their goodbyes and stuff, instead of being cut out as they hand back to the Network, or am I completely wrong?

I agree with scrapping the headlines at 1.30pm and 10.30pm,, but it's definately a step back taking them out of the national bulletin. That's bought new life to regional news in the last few years and worked quite well IMO.

However, I'd like to see an ident return to introduce the 6.30pm Evening News - much more professional.

Interesting to see the regions handing over to london at 6:30 and there was an update at 6:50. I also saw the luchtinme bulliten. There was no break on the national 1 but a break in between the national and regional bulliten.

Finally... Mark and Nina reunited. Best partnership IMO.

Good to see behind the scenes, with the crane spinning round to show it off, at the end of the prog.

Yeah very nice ending tonight, since the rebrand we've not had many endings like that.

Any caps?

BTW why is the ITV News studio background now a navy blue with yellow elements rather than the greener blue colour with orange elements?

The set no longer matches the titles or graphics as well as it used to. Annoying.

God, you're six months behind aren't you!

We still don't know the answer though!

I suspect we'll see more of that ending when Mark presents with Nina as it goes a little way towards disguising the height difference.

I hope Mary is OK because the Radio Times had her down to present the Evening News and at the end of yesterday's Lunchtime News so did Alastair.

I think thats a great idea. It will make the regional news stand alone more and not be just another part of the national news.
