I agree about them needing a new set, I also think they should keep the atrium, but don't have things animating on it, as I agree it looks fake, and they shouldn't have a colour over it, e.g. the current colour blue makes the studio a bit depressing - so they should just have the atrium as it is.

Its the current ITV set, the old ITV News Channel set was basically a green screen, without a walkway and a slightly smaller desk.
There was a walkway with the old set.

He is talking about the ITV News Channel purely virtual one, used when the network were rehearsing.

If I recall the "walkway" in the old set was nothing more than a green box used when required, why when standing there they didn't prance about the walkway as they often did at other times when in the main set.

again, you keep referring to this 'old set'. The news channel used the current, main ITV set, with an alternative virtual studio. This studio is still used periodically i believe.

Anyone got an online link to the spoof ITN Alastair Stewart sketch that was played out on BBC2's Dead Ringers last week?
BBC Prime never shows Dead Ringers overseas - I read that their take on Alastair and the ITN "Theatre of News" was hilarious. I am dying to see it.

Yey!
Was quite funny, but only the way they marched around the stage. They got Al's voice just right. I thought the Sian Lloyd was funnier.
