It did seem quite unnerving earlier this week when Tim Ewart suddenly became an expert in bird flu!

Yes, Geraint's moved into sports as Tim has gone back to general reporting, as has Lauren Taylor, and Mark Eddo has joined as business correspondent.

She was on a few days ago I believe, but Tom, as editor, has been covering all of the big political issues this week. She has been working solidly recently, a few weekends as well, and my guess is that she's just been given a short break.

She is pregnant, so she may be working a lighter schedule than normal.

The ITV Morning News was in the virtual set this morning, with a bit of a dodgy overhead shot at the beginning / end.
