I don't really like Romilly presenting the News at the moment. She's okay as a reporter but I am not sure about her presenting. Hopefully I will get used to her.

Really! I thought she had only presented for a few weeks.

Yes, really. I can't find a picture of her presenting, I saw one a few months ago, but according to ITN she ''presented extinsively on the ITV News Channel,'' which is true. However, I did find this rather amusing shot of her.

And somebody said her name reminds them of a downtrodden gypsy! Picture says it all.
There are pictures of her presenting the graveyard shifts on the news channel on Current Buns.

I never knew she's being presenting for years. Thanks for telling me. I agree it really does say it all in the picture Laughing

Thats what I've been thinking. I don't really mind Mary and Romilly but prefer Lucy and Nina (also Andrea Catherwood).

Romily isn't bad at all - I do miss Andrea Catherwood though and think she should have been kept if possible, especially until Nina returns.

What do you think about the weekend situation - is having a variety of hosts a good way of estabhlishing some of the second tier presenters, or would you prefer to see a regular host week in week out.

Personally I'd like the shows to have a regular host. With the bulletins being just 15 minutes and moved week in, week out to fit the schedule, I think having some consistency between them is important.

I think the weekend presenters are: Geraint Vincent, Lucy Owen, Steve Scott and Romilly Weeks. I think it's good that they use more than just one or two presenters rotating. I like Geraint and Lucy on the weekends the best (and also Nina and Andrea when she was their).

I like them having a variety of presenters at the weekend.

On HTV News/ITV Wales News they have always done the weekends bulletins on a rota basis with about 8 different presenters so they do 1 weekend in 8 or so. It works better as they dont have to work every weekend.

I prefer Geraint and Lucy too but Romilly is also good.

Whereas on Calendar they have the same presenter at weekends every week

On ITV News, I don't find the randomness of weekend presenters that much of an issue, you will never get a permanent weekend presenter because of the way they also fill in during the week and no 2 weeks are the same
