But there are many who may remember Kay Burley from her TVAM days.

I have only caught Phil Gayle once doing the overnight bullitens on ITV1. (When the ITV News Channel was still around). Also of course when he has been spoken about here on TV Forum. Do they still do overnight bullitens on ITV1?

Remember folks Kay Burley has done a few stints on five news......

Maybe this will boost Phil's profile and help him to move up ITV news.....

Id find it funny to see him on the 6:30 with Mary and the anno before the news of "The ITV News with Mary Nightingale and Phil Gayle" sounds funny to me Laughing

Well it would be politically correct as ITV News is horrendously white, minus Nina,, since Trevor's retirement.

all new Phil
I'm not sure I'd refer to it as horrendous, the current team just happens to be mainly white. I'd rather they didn't employ new people just to raise the quota, thank you very much.

Got a flash of the VT clock for the weather during the close of this evening's bulletin.

Personally I prefer Geraint Vincent to Phil - however it would be good if Geraint did one of these reality tv shows so we could see more of his personality.

I also caught that - it was a very good programme yesterday evening. Well done to Geraint Vincent - he seemed less nervous.

I was only thinking the same thing yesterday. Geraint has stopped shouting and has really relaxed into the presenter role and I am quite enjoying his bulletins.

I wonder if he did attend a NYE party last night as he is looking a bit worse for wear today. Also the bulletin has no opening sequence but instead started with the pitbull story. Maybe ITV News wanted to squeeze as much news as they could into that short bulletin?

I don't enjoy Geraint's bulletins to be honest. He keeps me on edge, I am always nervous he is going to slip up and make a pig's ear of it all.
