He presented during the week which is why I was suprised to see him presenting today. I've only caught the Lunchtime News a couple of times and I think he is better presenting alone.

Shame he is moving to BBC News 24.


Why? He'll still be presenting the news, but just on a different channel Confused

Well I dont watch the news on BBC as I prefer ITV1

I too mainly watch ITV News but only sometimes the news on BBC One.

Extended ITV News from 23:05 until 23:30 on ITV One. Probably dedicated to Saddam. (So far it is Wink)

I didn't think it was that much, they managed to stick in quite a few reports, namely James Brown's funeral, the New Years Honours, the Football.

Though from watching the 5.15pm and 11.00pm for obvious reasons on the 5.15pm Saddam's corpse was blurred, but on the 11.00pm it was shown in full glory although with an extra warning, weird considering Sky and the BBC have been showing the same all day.

It was a bit disturbing at first, but didnt they do the same with Saddams sons, release pictures of them dead? So I guess its not that different apart from Saddam is the man himself.

Are you joking? IMO nobody outside London, unless you are a TVForumer, would know who this man is! He's hardly a notable newsreader is he?
And apparantly Kay Burley too!

He used to do the news on the Big Breakfast didnt he? And does some of the overnights on ITV1!

He'll still be known by many for his long stint on The Big Breakfast.

And he'd certainly be more well known than Kay Burley. The figures for the London News are far higher than Sky could dream of!
