I don't think they bother - they might put a little snowflake-y animation on the wall at the end of the news but apart from that I don't think they will bother.
Remember this is terrestrial news not a news channel - so they have less freedom to do anything for Xmas. Same with BBC's main news.
Re: the Christmas debate. Not sure about the current studio, but I thihk in the last studio they only ever had a tree or anything over Christmas itself.
Although I'm the first to hate all the political correctness around Christmas, I do think with the news it's got to be kept quite low key.
Good to see Owen Thomas back on the Morning News. He hasn't been on for ages and is by far the best person on that shift. He looked a lot more serious than he used to though.
For any of those interested about newscaster appearances on other programmes: well, here goes..
Mark Austin in the audience for ITV's Take That Live
and Alastair Stewart and Moira Stuart in the audience for ITV's Lionel Richie Live

I remember BIG MOIRA at several of the "Audeince with......" programmes, such as Billy Connolly, Diana Ross and Jimmy Tarbuck.
With Connolly, she was in hysterics during the incontinence pants sketch and Tarbuck said during his show that he would love to have a jacuzzi and hot-tub with Moira Stuart!
Anyway - when will Nicholas Owen's last bulletin at ITN be? I am still kinda sad he is leaving - he is the only remaining "name" which has been synonymous with ITN for years, apart from his successor of course.
Just looking at the Radio Times for 16-22 December, I see a Morning News scheduled for Monday 19th December, but for the rest of the week it's replaced by half an hour of CITV.
Is this just for Christmas or is it a sign of something more permanent?
